Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal sticks filter water, reduce odours and hardness for better-tasting water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours. Use 1 stick per litre of water. Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and then dry before use. Charcoal is reusable up to 3 months – after that, it can be broken up and recycled into plant soil.
